BLACK ZODIAC

Black Zodiac is a limited series of three deep navy-blue chairs, each individually signed and numbered. The collection draws inspiration from the traditional Japanese technique of Yaki-Sugi where is usually charred for preservation and anti decay purposes. Here the chairs are painted in a deep blue hue remembering this ancient technique through a contemporary context.
The chairs were exhibited at Midori-So Gallery Naka Meguro in august 2024.
